Approved and licensed by the National Development and Reform Commission in October 2011, the laboratory, based on local industrial needs, will carry out construction in the fields of “high-value utilization of marine bioactive substances and aquatic products”, “research and development of marine genetic resources”, “breeding and germplasm preservation of excellent marine aquaculture seedlings”, and “Protection and bioremediation of marine environment”. By significantly improving the comprehensive research conditions and capabilities and promoting the development of research technology, the laboratory provides local technical support and services in terms of testing, technology, information, training, and other aspects, fundamentally addresses some prominent problems that restrict the current development process of the local marine industry, enhances the core competitiveness of the industry, further optimizes the industrial development environment, and advances the development of marine economy in the local area.
