Foundation of teamwork: Academically, the team members relate to multiple research directions, including marine microbial molecular ecology, development of aquaculture microbial resources, creation of shrimp ecological aquaculture technology and models, and ecological restoration of water bodies. The team has published over 200 SCI papers in mainstream international journals such as Microbiome, Molecular Ecology, Environmental Microbiology, Aquaculture, etc., and obtained over 20 authorized patents. Furthermore, the team has successively undertaken more than 30 projects such as the National 863 Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has received over RMB 20 million of funding support in total.
Advantages and features of the team: Focusing on microorganisms such as bacteria, archaea, eukaryotic microorganisms, viruses, etc., the team has established a multi-scale and multimodal research platform for the microecological process and mechanism of shrimp aquaculture, as well as a multi-temporal and spatial scale research platform for microbial communities in nearshore waters, including the shrimp aquaculture micro ecological experiment system featuring integrated laboratory-pilot base-production system, time series observation plan for microbial communities in nearshore waters, joint analysis platform for microbiomes, and mining and analysis platform for synthetic microbiome resources. The team systematically revealed the distribution patterns and dynamic changes of microorganisms in aquaculture systems and offshore fishing waters, as well as their close relationship with the health of aquaculture animals and the ecological safety of water bodies. Meanwhile, the team has also developed microecological products and technologies for aquaculture and ecological water restoration based on synthetic microbiota.
Main research directions:
1. Development of theory and technology for microecological regulation of shrimp farming system.
analysis of the structure and function of shrimp microbiome.
mechanisms and principles for microecological regulation and intervention of shrimp.
dynamic maintenance technology and products for shrimp microecology
2. Microbial ecology in nearshore waters/fishery waters
Distribution patterns and construction mechanisms of microbial communities in nearshore waters/fishery waters.
Response and adaptation mechanisms of microorganisms in nearshore waters/fishery waters to human activity interference
3. Development of microecological products and technologies for water ecological restoration
Development of aquatic ecological restoration products and technologies based on microbial resources (bacteria, bacteriophages(cyanophage), etc.)
