Established by Xiong Jinbo, a recipient of the Zhejiang Outstanding Youth Fund, the “Research Team on the Interaction between Microorganisms in the Water Environment and Hosts” covers the research fields, including interdisciplinary sectors such as microbial ecology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and aquaculture. The team conducts applied basic research around the environment- microbiome -host health, and has achieved outstanding results in algae bacterial interaction, diagnosis and control of shrimp disease, treatment of algal bloom and aquaculture tailwater, and demonstrated strong research and development capabilities. So far, the team has published more than 90 papers in professional journals such as J Hazard Mate, Sci Total Environment, Mol Ecol, Environment Microbiol, Aquaculture, etc., obtained 7 authorized invention patents, 4 software copyrights, established one industry standard, and one Ningbo Science and Technology Progress Award. The team currently comprises 6 full-time teachers, including 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 1 lecturer, and over 30 doctoral and master postgraduates.
